Bio as though written in five years time…-task 3
As part of our creative futures module, we were asked to write a bio as though it was written by ourselves in five years time. The idea is for the bio to be as ambitious as we would like including goals from the previous blog post. The idea of writing a bios about ourselves can feel really overwhelming so I decided to look at other bios from illustrators with careers paths i would love to achieve.
Below is an example of Sally Payne’s bio from her website. I chose to look at sally as she is a freelance illustrator and surface designer, two jobs i would love to work toward within the industry.
From the screenshot above we can see Sally sticks to a first person tone for her bio, to give that more light hearted friendly feel, maybe giving that element of making the reader feel as though you’re just having a chat.
Another example i found was from Emma Jayne. Emma Jayne is also an illustrator and surface designer and has worked with a range of different clients as mentioned in her bio. Like Sally Payne her bio is in first person and had a similar friendly approach to it.
