Example Portfolio and websites

When thinking about how i needed and could change my website I wanted to look at a range of effective examples from other illustrators and designers. Below shows a couple of online portfolios from illustrators i follow on social media. I felt it was important to look at other examples to see what5 they did to really make their portfolio speak for themselves and their work. 

All three below use the technique of having a simple monochrome background that does not take away from the images it instead highlights them. This is different from what I originally suspected as thought the idea of colour would bring more personality. However, it is clear white makes the images as a collective look more professional.
