Illustration agents -task 1

 When working as a freelance a great way to get work is find an agency that would be happy to support you and find you a range of jobs. However, as a new illustrator it can be difficult to find an agency ad know who is best to apply to and how they suit your style and work. As par tof my research i wanted to look into a range of different agencies who support illustrators from the UK and see how i could begin to think abut preparing myself to submit a professional portfolio to help show case who i am as an illustrator.

From the article by the 'People of Print' I was able to find a range of website links to UK based agencies. There were quite a few that caught my eye. I especially liked the look of Agency rush [ https://agencyrush.com/#artists ]. Agency rush intend to support a range of clients globally and have a range of impressive clients from The Guardian to to Liberty London and many more well known names. However, what i particularly liked was the rang eof different styles and artists they represent.

Meikle John  [ https://meiklejohn.co.uk/portfolio ] was another great agency which i picked from this artictle. like Agency rush they seem to support a range of different artists all with different styles and talents. It is super interesting to look at these different portfolios to see how each work differs and see how the artist is represented.

A list of other agencies;

-Pocko

-theArtworks

-Handsome Frank

-folio art

-good illustartion

-beehive illustration

I would definetly love to submit some work to an agency to try and find some representation. However, before doing so I am to build up on my personal work and jobs to help build a strong portfolio and visual style.
