Ways I can take my stationery business further in the future
Ways I can take my stationery business further.
As seen on my blog my personal promotional item is a new side to my business and the overall branding. After I graduate I hope to open a new set of servies specfically relating to stationery and using this promotional item I am hoping to kick start this. using social media specfcially instagram. However, during this time of research I want to gather ideas on how I can move forward with my business to become more succseful.
Build a big portfolio
When thinking about my business, I think it will be great to build a big portfoli of a range of different styles and ocassions. I think this is important as it will appeal to a bigger target audience and show them arange of different styles to suit their situation. I aim to do this by taking on a range of different clients, perhaps creating deals as a build up to get some customers initally. I also intend to create some base designs in the background which could also be used as a template for customers on a budget who arent lookig for bespoke style. I also feel it woul dbe nice for tis portfolio to be both digital and physcial. Digital will be great as it can sit simply on my website or sent out as a PDF for customers to get ideas. However, I also think physical would be a really nice touch for customers to see the quality of th einivitations and flick through at events such as craft markets.
Wedding fairs
Wedding fairs are aother great way for me to build my business further. Wedding fairs are visited specfically by my target audience and therefore is more liekly yo bring in new customers. Wedding fairs aren't as common as craft markets however I definetly would love to do some of these locally showcasing my work and promoting my services. To find these markets I woul regualry look online keeping an eye on other local businesses and following a range of local wedding venues. Below in my references list also includes some links in which told me local markets, their dates and also who to contact. Before I decide to display myself, I think it would be great to visit one of these fiars myself, to get an idea of other stationery businesses and how they display their work.
Aswell as wedding fairs, I also could set up a smaller display at my normal markets showcasing a small section of my work along with a portfolio. I feel this coukld be a good idea as you never know where your customer could be and therefore, may find the perfect next set of work.
